TREASURES, expected to be the blockbuster of 2008, is staged as an Oscar-winning 1942 romance set in the Vichy-controlled Moroccan city of Casablanca. The event is being directed by the Holy Rosary Healthcare Foundation and stars modern-day versions of Humphrey Bogart (as Rick Blaine) and Ingrid Bergman (as Ilsa Lund).
Like many Academy Award winning films, TREASURES will focus on the struggle between love and virtue. Bogart quickly becomes the hero for his true love – eastern Montana health care. He gathers 500 of his closest friends, invites them to an extraordinary evening of hospitality, dining and dancing at the famous Rick’s Café Americain (aka: under the grant, white tent on the Holy Rosary lawn). But this evening is like no other. Guests enjoy champagne cocktails, Moroccan hors d’oeuvres, dinner and decadent desserts prepared by two guest chefs. The ladies compare their lavish jewels with one winning an exceptionally brilliant $2,500 diamond from John Stockhill Jewelers to add to her personal collection.
Like the spirited atmosphere of Rick's Café in Casablanca, TREASURES will offer guests the chance to bid and barter on some of Bogart’s and Bergman’s favorite items (Nascar trip to Vegas, girlfriends relaxation getaway to Red Lodge, Florida vacation, four-state golf getaway, western bronze (appraised value of $29,500) and much more).
As guests join piano connoisseur Sam and his eight horn-playing and singing friends from the award-winning BlueJack band, Rick adds to the excitement as he fulfills his virtuous desires to do what’s right. In an expected turn of events, Rick randomly selects five mystery guests from the audience and plays a wild game of elimination until one is chosen for the adventure of a lifetime – a 14-day land, air and sea adventure to Africa, Europe and the Mediterranean with time in Spain, Portugal, the Canary Islands, and Africa’s Morocco (or the trip of the winner’s choice anywhere in the world of equal value).
Like every night at Rick’s Café Americain, we expect a stand-room only crowd. So reserve your tickets now by clicking and printing the RSVP ticket form.
We look forward to making TREASURES a memorable and successful event for you, all our guests and for the many people of our region who continue to benefit from the good work of the Holy Rosary Healthcare Foundation and the donors who make this progress possible.
All proceeds from TREASURES will benefit wellness and preventative medicine programs in eastern Montana. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit philanthropic corporation.
