Over the years Holy Rosary Healthcare has expanded its cardiology services, ensuring that residents of eastern Montana can access high-quality heart care. From stress testing to pacemaker implantation to cardiac rehabilitation, Holy Rosary provides a continuum of care close to home.

Outpatient Testing and Services

Cardiac testing, including intervention and diagnosis, is often an outpatient procedure. Among the outpatient services offered at Holy Rosary you'll find:

• Electrocardiogram (EKG)
• Echocardiogram
• Exercise stress test
• Holter monitoring (ambulatory electrocardiogram)
• Computer imaging - computed tomography (CT)
• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
• Dual-head nuclear camera
• Carotid artery ultrasound screening

Interventional Cardiology

At Holy Rosary, we implant the latest generation of pacemakers. These state-of-the-art devices self-adjust problems and can treat both slow and fast heart rhythms. Once pacemakers are implanted, follow-up care can be maintained locally, which is especially important when check-ups are required quarterly.

When patients need cardiac catheterization (such as angiography or stent placement) or heart bypass surgery, they are referred to our sister facility in Billings, St. Vincent Healthcare. However, upon returning home, patients have access to an advanced cardiac rehabilitation program and follow-up care.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehabilitation is a key element of cardiac care and important to your recovery. We offer a comprehensive program for patients at all levels. Individualized programs are tailored for appropriate exercise, education, risk factor reduction, counseling and group support. Patients are encouraged to work at their own pace and play an active role in their recovery.
