Palliative and Hospice Care

Palliative Care is specialized care for patients managing chronic illness. It is provided while the individual is undergoing treatment that may heal or cure their disease or illness. Hospice Care helps people at the end-of-life who have decided to forego further treatment that may heal or cure their disease or illness.

Enrollment

Patients can enroll by calling 406-233-3810 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Palliative and Hospice Care Services

All Palliative and Hospice Care team members are available to make home visits, nursing home visits, assisted living visits and to visit patients at Holy Rosary Healthcare. Caring staff is available every day to visit and support patients and families as their unique care needs require.

Funding

Holy Rosary Palliative and Hospice Care services are covered under Medicare and Medicaid for those who are eligible, as well as most private insurance plans. Military personnel and their dependents are covered for Palliative and Hospice Care under CHAMPUS. Holy Rosary Hospice relies heavily on grants, memorial gifts and community support to fund unreimbursed care and Palliative and Hospice services for patients with little or no insurance.

The services of Holy Rosary Palliative and Hospice Care are provided to patients and their families regardless of their ability to pay. Support is critical to ensure that the program continues to provide a comprehensive range of services to those who need this special care.
